not as sucky as i thought

So I thought that I totally sucked it up yesterday. Last evening I was so hungry, so I snacked, which I really have not wanted to do in the evenings and I felt like I ate too much at dinner too. But this morning I weighed myself and I had lost more weight. So I am not really sure what's going on. Maybe I haven't been eating enough calories to have the energy to burn calories, is that how it works? Maybe I just need to learn to listen to my body better. That's a hard thing after years of not really caring what it says. I have also been having a hard time disciplining myself to exercise. I had planned on doing it this morning, but I am not feeling so well. I really do want to give P90X a good try, but maybe I need something that is just fun too to help me want to do it, at least at first.  Do any of you have a fun routine you do?

  1. You may need to eat more calories, I don't know! As far as fun routines, try Kenpo on the P90X workout, I think it's really fun and it takes away my frustration...it's a kicking and punching Tae Bo like workout! Don't worry about snacking, if you are hungry, eat...snacking is only bad when it's mindless (which I tend to do alot of! :-) Protein shakes or bars are good if you need a snack...they are high in protein which is good and takes away that sweet need if you have one! (I get my bars at Aldi-they are delicious!) You are doing a great job!! Way to go!

I don't like all the jumping up and down stuff so this looks like something I'd like. She has a different way of working things. She works not only major muscles but ones that you really don't usually use during a regular workout hence resulting in a leaner and not bulky muscular look. If you give it a try, let me know what you think! I'm thinking of getting her post-preg workout in jan.
    keep up the good work!!!

  4. Jess, one thing to remember, is that after working out, you need to eat a protein rich breakfast, not carbs. The protein is very important when working out, the carbs will not help and you will feel hungry again quickly. Snack on fat free popcorn, carrot sticks, hummus, or bean dip, salsa and whole wheat pita, or baked chips.... And it is true that if you do not eat enough, that is as bad as over-eating because your body will hold onto fat since it is in a sense, 'starving'... Go to sparkpeoplle.com and find out how many calories you should be consuming a day and I think they will also guide you into how many of them should be from protein, carbs, etc.... I LOVE the FIRM work out DVD's, they are fun and effective. Those combined with Weight Watchers has helped me to lose nearly 30lbs in 7 months. As long as you aren't snacking on junk food, dont sweat it too much, Apples are a GREAT snack and it is nearly Apple season!! Get thee to an orchard and pick a bunch! ;-) The fiber will be good for you and apples are great filling snacks! Keep up the good work!!

YES. That's how it worked for me on WW, anyway. If I got stuck,I'd eat a little more and I'd end up dropping more weight :-)
